CSR Europe Welcomes New Corporate Members IVECO and Cummins — CSR Europe

This month, CSR Europe welcomes corporate members Cummins[DD1]  and IVECO.

Cummins Inc is a Fortune 150 global technology leader that designs, manufactures, distributes, and services a broad portfolio of power solutions. Their powertrain, components and energy solutions cover many market segments such as buses, trucks, marine, mining, power generation and agriculture.

Cummins opened its first site in Europe in 1956. Today it has 8 manufacturing sites and more than 7,400 employees in the region operating in approximately 15 countries with 38 locations across Europe. Cummins works hard to provide advanced technologies supported by a long-established service network across Europe. Cummins is committed to investing in Europe through Research and Technology, ensuring Cummins’ technical experts are developing innovations of the future.

Their sustainability plans are outlined in the company’s Planet 2050 Strategy and include:

  1. Reducing greenhouse gas and air emissions in line with experts’ recommendations.

  2. Using natural resources in the most sustainable way possible.

  3. Helping communities address their major environmental challenges.

  4. Several of our goals align with the Paris Agreement

Iveco Group is a global automotive leader active in the Commercial & Specialty Vehicles, Powertrain, and related Financial Services arenas. Each of its eight brands is a major force in its specific business:

  • IVECO, a pioneering commercial vehicles brand that designs, manufactures, and markets heavy, medium, and light duty trucks;

  • FPT Industrial, a global leader in a vast array of advanced powertrain technologies in the agriculture, construction, marine, power generation, and commercial vehicles sectors;

  • IVECO BUS and HEULIEZ, mass-transit and premium bus and coach brands;

  • Iveco Defence Vehicles, for highly specialised defence and civil protection equipment;

  • ASTRA, a leader in large-scale heavy-duty quarry and construction vehicles;

  • Magirus, the industry-reputed firefighting vehicle and equipment manufacturer;

  • IVECO CAPITAL, the financing arm which supports them all.

Iveco Group has identified its sustainability priorities in line with the stakeholders’ expectations, guaranteeing the alignment with its core business. The four priorities that underpin the strategy are:

  1. Carbon Footprint – to reduce CO2 emissions from manufacturing processes along the entire value chain (supply and logistics) and from the product range, aiming for net zero carbon emissions by 2040.

  2. Workplace and Product Safety – to minimise the risk of workplace injuries through effective preventive and protective measures, and to ensure Company products have the highest safety standards.

  3. Lifecycle Thinking – to implement solutions that efficiently minimise the impact of products and processes through a circular product lifecycle approach Inclusion and Engagement.

  4. Inclusion and Engagement – to build ever-stronger relationships with stakeholders, continuing to work proactively and effectively to create an inclusive work environment.
