Konrad Martin, president and CEO of Tech Advisors, a Medfield-based technology solution provider for small to mid-sized businesses, founded by CPAs, recently announced the publication of his latest new book, “Empower Your I.T.”
The book offers small business owners a complete look at why they need a managed services approach to their technological needs, and how this approach turns technology into a competitive advantage for their business. A range of topics – from what to look for in a technology consultant relationship and contract, to considerations regarding cybersecurity and compliance – are discussed in an easy-to-read style.
Martin, a Medway resident, founded Tech Advisors in 2002 with his twin brother, Kevin, who serves as the company’s chief technology officer.
Konrad Martin has authored articles on cybersecurity for a number of regional and national magazines, as well as the book “Hacked! How to Protect Your Business from the Fines, Lawsuits, Customer Loss & PR Nightmare Resulting from Data Breach and Cybercrime.”
A former CPA, he serves as a trusted adviser to the Massachusetts Society of CPAs and wrote the WISP (Written Information Security Plan) for the organization and its thousands of members.

One of the region’s largest construction labor groups, the Worcester-Fitchburg Building Trades Council, has announced the election of Jorge Rivera of Milford as president.
A 20-year union member, Rivera was elected to lead the council alongside a slate of executive board officers hailing from across the building trades.
Over his career as a union painter, Rivera has worked with members across the region, training apprentices and teaching bilingual classes on OSHA safety, first aid and CPR. He currently serves as the director of organizing for IUPAT DC 35.
