Meridian Gaming Group conducted a CSR (corporate social responsibility) campaign during the Covid-19 pandemic. On the closing day of G2E, the group presented its results in combating the pandemic and reported it had donated over $1m to Covid-related projects; the group also mentioned it reached out to 150 European, LatAm, and African countries.
Meridian Gaming has adapted various outlets into vaccination outposts throughout the world; they are available not only to employees but to all citizens looking to get vaccinated.
Since the start of the pandemic, the group has been working toward helping local communities of the areas where it operates. Meridian has also partnered up with the World Health Organization (WHO) to help its global vaccine rollout, Covid Relief, and Solidarity Response Plan. WHO has been able to support the world’s most vulnerable countries in their efforts to roll out Covid vaccination campaigns, thanks to many companies that supported the Organization.
A Meridian spokesperson said: “For over 18 months now, Meridian Gaming keeps supporting national hospitals and medical centres, safe houses, transfusion centres, gerontology centres, social welfare NGOs, health foundations throughout Southeast Europe, European Union, LatAm, Central America, Africa, and Asia. Our communities have been tested and tempted as never before; that is why the example of Meridian reminds us that global solidarity is the only sustainable value in times of uncertainty.”
Meridian is a provider of sports betting solutions; a licensed gambling operator in South-East Europe with fully developed business in gambling sectors and channels across betting shops worldwide.
